The manoeuvring area at WORD Bemowo
The practical test begins with vehicle checks: you switch on a selected light and check it outside, then check a selected fluid or the horn. Adjust your seat and mirrors and fasten your seat belt before driving.
The first driving task is the marked curved lane: drive forward and reverse along the same path without touching the lines or cones. Use your mirrors and look behind through the rear window while reversing.
Next comes the hill start. Parking, turning around and stopping at a designated place are assessed during the road section rather than as separate manoeuvring-area tasks.
During preparation lessons, we practise the same sequence of vehicle checks and manoeuvres, including reference points and steering control.
Driving test routes from WORD Bemowo
After leaving the centre, routes often include the small streets near Powstańców Śląskich and Żołnierzy Wyklętych. Parking and turning around require precise steering, blind-spot checks and care around parked cars.
The drive may continue towards Stare Bielany via Rondo Ofiar Zbrodni Katyńskiej, or towards Stare Bemowo and Kaliskiego. Other routes include al. Prymasa Tysiąclecia and Górczewska, where you practise driving in busier, faster traffic.
Pay particular attention to lane changes before junctions, left turns, equal-priority junctions and complete stops at STOP signs. Roundabouts and narrow residential streets also require careful observation.
How to prepare for a test in Bemowo
Driving with an instructor familiar with the area is the most practical way to prepare. A 2–4-hour refresher can help you recognise the junctions and feel more confident, depending on your current skills.
Arrange pickup at your address, outside WORD or at our office at Ogrodowa 5. Morning practice before the exam can also be arranged, subject to availability.
